To celebrate the 45th World Environment Day, the Tianjin Law Society and the Law School at Tianjin University cohosted a seminar on the topic of legal guarantees for green and shared development.
Attending scholars agreed that research on environmental and resources law should be founded upon five development concepts: innovation, coordination, green development, opening up and sharing. With the theme of pushing forward economic and social development as well as ecological civilization construction, studies of environment and resources law should develop theoretical legal research and make a difference in building the disciplinary system of environmental and resources protection law with Chinese characteristics, they said.
Cai Shouqiu, a professor from the School of Law at Wuhan University, said China has made progress in nonprofit litigation on ecological matters and judicial specialization in the fields of environment and resources.
