Chinese, S. Korean scholars discuss modern Confucianism
Author :  Zhang Qingli Source : Chinese Social Sciences Today 2014-09-15
More than 60 scholars from China and South Korea gathered in Jinan, Shandong Province, for a symposium themed “The Inheritance and Innovation of Confucianism” on August 29. In analyzing South Korea’s image and video culture, a researcher from Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul found that Confucian elements form major characteristics. Wang Zhimin, director of the Institute for Qilu Culture Studies, argued that it is important for exchanges of Confucianism between the two countries to integrate the inheritance, innovation and development of Confucianism with the construction of spiritual and moral civilization.
