The Central Policy Unit of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government and the National Academy of Economic Strategy under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences jointly held their International Forum on China’s Economy and Policy 2015 in Hong Kong on May 7. Themed “China’s Economy Under the New Normal,” the forum gathered more than 300 scholars and experts from home and abroad to discuss the Chinese mainland’s economic development strategy under its new-normal phase after the 13th Five-year Plan and “One Belt, One Road” initiative. Participants also discussed Hong Kong’s role and opportunities in the mainland’s economic development.
