An exhibition on rare stamps from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan has been unveiled at the China National Post and Postage Stamp Museum in Beijing. It marks the first time the stamps, some dating back to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and Republic of China (1912-1949), have been displayed on the Chinese mainland. The exhibition showcases the charm and culture of stamps, as well as the history and development of the Cross-Straits postal service.
The Chinese version appeared in Chinese Social Sciences Today, No. 620, July 14, 2014.
