More than 80 tombs presumably belonging to the Neolithic Age have been excavated at a shell mound site in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, according to the Guangxi Institute of Cultural Relic Protection and Archaeology. Since April this year, the institute has been busy evacuating the historical site with an area of 4,000 square meters, unearthing numerous pieces of stone, bone and mussel implements, ornamented items and the remains of plants and animals.
