RUC Chinese Development Index 2016 annual index released

The Chinese Development Index 2016 was released by the Chinese Survey and Assessment Center at the Renmin University of China on Jan.18 in Beijing, showing that China is experiencing a transition from quantitative to qualitative growth and Chinese people have strong confidence in China’s development. The index consists of four sub-indexes covering the China Health Development Index, the China Education Development Index, the China Living Standard Development Index and the China Social and Environmental Development Index, with a total of 15 indicators. Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin ranked in the top three of 2016 China Development Index.
