China University of Political Science and Law launched the country’s first Academy of Capital and Financial Research in Beijing on June 19. The academy will combine practice with theory, law with finance and national situations with international standards to solve problems associated with the country’s capital finance. The academy will conduct research on legal affairs and supervision of capital finance, while also cultivating legal and capital finance experts. Serving as a think tank for the capital market while also proposing reforms to State-owned assets and resources, it will offer a theoretical basis for China’s financial legislation and development.
