Beijing Public Archaeological Season held

Hosted by the Beijing Municipal Administration of Cultural Heritage and Fangshan District People’s Government of Beijing Municipality, the first Beijing Public Archaeological Season in 2021 was launched at the Zhoukoudian Peking Man Site Museum on Sep. 24. Themed "One Hundred Years of Archaeology, Cultural Beijing," the event aims to tap into and reveal Beijing’s archaeological connotation and attract the public to participate in the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage. During the two-month event, 24 activities will be held consisting of five categories - public participation, archaeological experience, special exhibitions, cloud display, and academic lectures.
