Sample and Rival: What Does the Theory of Japanese Economic Model Mean for the Theory of Chinese Economic Model

Author  :       Source  :    Japanese Studies No.1(2014)     2014-01-07

Abstract: The theory of Japanese economic model is both sample and rival for the theory of Chinese economic model. Although the theory of Japanese economic model has development and experienced the shift of research focus, it has kept its structural consistency in logics and stood the test of time. Through the comparative institutional analysis and architecture-based analysis of competitiveness, Japanese researchers have verified that the Japanese economy and American economy are the two extremely different types of market economy. With that background, it is necessary for Chinese scholars working on Chinese economic model to build an original analytical framework to shed lights on the characteristics of China’s modes of production and carry out innovative researches similar with those of Japanese scholars.
