Author  :       Source  :        2015-05-08

The World War II Battlefield Book Series was published on April 22 at Nanjing University in Jiangsu Province. The editors-in-chief of this book series are Qian Chengdan from Peking University and Pang Shaotang from Nanjing University and 15 other renowned scholars from Nanjing University, Nanjing Normal University and other universities involved in writing and editing the book series. The series consists of eight volumes dedicated to different battlefields in World War II. It contains a large number of valuable historical pictures and chronicles of events, revealing many facets of history that had been largely unknown to the general public until now. For a long time, China’s contribution to the war had not received much recognition, scholars said. China’s participation in the war is scarcely mentioned in Western histories. This book series dedicates three volumes to describing the Chinese front and China’s contribution to World War II.
