New batch of books added to modern academic classics

A new batch of 100 books was added to the Selected Modern Academic Classics in China recently, according to a symposium on the publication of these books. This selected collection covers works of famous masters and various disciplines, embodying China’s wisdom over the last hundred years. The selected classics are the quintessence of the academic achievements in modern China, and it is a snapshot of what we have achieved in the past century, said Ru Xin, former vice-president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). Rather than simply reprinting classics, systematic editing work has been done to sort and organize the scattered articles of some masters.
