CASS opens Center for Economic and Policy Research

The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) opened its Center for Economic and Policy Research in Beijing on November 1. The specialized research institute, affiliated to the CASS National Academy of Economic Strategy, aims to advocate economic policies for the State Council. The center will take advantage of CASS’s academic strengths through research and consultation with the State Council on economic issues. The National Academy of Economic Strategy will work closely with the State Council’s Research Office and related CASS institutes. CASS president Wang Weiguang said “three innovations” would be pursued by the center: corporate pattern, corporate mechanism and collaborative research.
