Peking University to hold “World Marxism Conference”

Peking University announced on March 14 it will host the first World Marxism Conference on Oct. 11 and 12. Yu Hongjun, director of the School of Marxism at Peking University and executive director of the conference, said in the face of common issues nowadays in the international community, the objective of the conference is to explore the world significance of the “Chinese Road” and highlight the value and historical mission of Marxism in modern times, drawing upon theories and practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The conference will gather the world’s leading figures in theoretical research and practice of Marxism and will be held twice a year to discuss major issues in the progress of human civilization and promotion of China’s development and the development of world civilization.
