Global governance highlighted in think tank forum

More than 100 scholars from China, the United States, Italy and Singapore explored issues like global governance and think tank development at a forum with the theme of sharing and innovation held in Beijing on June 5. China-US relations and global governance was the major topic of discussion at the forum. Many scholars shared their opinions about the future of the China-US relationship and how it will affect global governance. Scholars reached a consensus that the realization of effective global governance is largely contingent on the ability of China and the US to cooperate in the future. Participants also brainstormed on the establishment, development and evaluation of think tanks. An open platform and mechanism was also launched at the forum that will allow scholars from around the world to pool academic wisdom and resources on global governance.
