A high-level think tank forum on Belt and Road was hosted by the China Center for Contemporary World Studies under the International Department of the CPC Central Committee and Chongyang institute for Financial Studies at the Renmin University of China in Beijing on April 3. The theme of the forum was to review and make predictions about the Belt and Road initiative after five years of construction. Guo Yazhou, vice-minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee said that Belt and Road initiative proposed by president Xi Jinping is an important pioneering move that promotes the common prosperity and development of China and the world, and a great practice in promoting the building of a “community of common destiny,” playing an active role in boosting the world economy and improving people’s livelihood along the line.
