China established third largest networks of tax treaties

Author  :       Source  :    Beijing Daily     2017-04-25

China has been expanding its tax treaty network to 106 countries and regions including 54 countries along the “Belt and Road” and has established the world’s third largest networks of tax treaties, covering China's major foreign investment destination.

The national tax sector is actively involved in the tax treaties negotiation and has successfully signed seven agreements in 2016, said Meng Yuying, deputy director-general of International taxation department of State Administration of Taxation.

These tax treaties will build a solid foundation in intentional tax area for the “Going Out” of Chinese enterprises. For example, the agreement on Mutual Exemption of VAT and Similar Taxes on International Air Transportation Services between China and Poland will help further reduce tax burdens in both countries and promote bilateral business ties.
