The picture shows an amber carving of a man riding on a sheep unearthed from a largescale tomb in Xizhu Village of Luoyang City, Central China’s Henan Province. About 52 meters in length and 12 meters in depth, the tomb was recently identified as dating back to the Cao-Wei Dynasty (220-265) during the Three Kingdoms period (220-280). More than 400 pieces of pottery, iron, bronze, lacquerware and a handful of jade artifacts were uncovered.
